Site Description: The Peking Duck is one of the longest-running and most widely-read English-language blogs about China. From the Author: A peculiar hybrid of personal journal, dilettantish punditry, pseudo-philosophy and much more, from an Accidental Expat who has made his way from Hong Kong to Beijing to Taipei and finally back to Beijing for reasons that are still not entirely clear to him.
Project Profile: After several years with the same design, the Peking Duck was eager to freshen its look and update some of its features. The focus of the design was the make things new, while retaining some of the elements which have come to represent this seminal blog’s place in the ever increasing China blogsphere.
The site required a rather massive migration (4,500+ posts and many, many more comments) from an older version of the Movable Type blogging platform to the latest incarnation of WordPress.
