Joomla is just a platform. You will have to adjust the code though, as this script wasn't designed for IE8. Should be fairly obvious how to do that. I've used them on my site, and anything but recent versions of IE just freeze up. IE didn't even support an alpha layer in PNG's until just recently. Pathetic!!!
